That makes it a fact. They do concede it is offensive to some, and like many words (that aren't derogatory) has been used in a derogatory manner by some people (but not generally so even in the 19th century), but that doesn't make the term derogatory. And again I'm not arguing it is coming back I know it isn't. I'm just saying when someone makes the claim it is or was a derogatory term I will throw the BS flag.

In the real world when someone is called a name that offends them, they don't care what some ivory tower etymologist has to say about it.

No, they don't. I'm sure vast majority will be triggered and whine about it cuz the TV and ppl like Elizabeth Warren told them to.. you know, the type that want attention, maybe to be featured in a meme or viral video somewhere.

Then there's ppl who genuinely get offended. Everyone has feelings, everyone's gonna deal with them in the way they deem necessary.

This shit got blown up under a microscope. I hate every single bit of it because above all it screams/screamed woke/cancel culture which is basically fuckin bullying on a grand scale. Fuck that. I'll never be ok with how the name thing went down just like I'll never be ok with the way woke white folks were at the forefront pushing it and we just happened to be the team with a name to pick on so they could feel like they fuckin belonged...

It's not just our name for me - that's just a part of the mountain when it comes to the disdain I have for society today and the way we operate as a populous. It's disgusting.

Nonetheless... go back to WFT if you'll never go back to the skins. I'd rather no name at all then do what Snyder did and let sponsors and societal pressure pull his pants down no lube. I will always root for the team but I don't like the commies, I don't want the stench of Snyder and I want some sort of big middle finger to the soft ass ppl that don't even belong speaking on or advocating for an issue that doesn't involve them just for the sake of it.
