Re: Josh Harris finalizes deal to buy Commanders

Serious … when referring to the Native American Indian What is the proper and respectful/political correct way to do so ..( not rehashing Redskin name please) I’m trying to understand why Cleveland changed the from the Indian name .. so if Indian name is wrong ..what is the proper way to refer to the American Indian ?(see I just did it .. can’t say Indian ) can I ??
I ask because with the possibility of name change and some including myself wanting to stay with some form of connection with the past Redskin days .. is the name Warriors, warpath , tribe, Native American, Cherokee, Apache, Seminole, Braves, tomahawk, Arrows, is any of that acceptable?? Or should all teams avoid any reference to native Americans? ( I understand how redskin could be viewed as offensive by some ) but surely the team should be able to come up with something that has a connection with the Native American Indian with being offensive.. or can they ??

Native Americans

Indian only came from early settlers that thought they had landed in India.

Re: Josh Harris finalizes deal to buy Commanders

I am glad to see Snyder replaced. I have been listening to the propaganda from Harris's group. They sound just like Snyder did when he bought the team. Promises of being winners and returning the franchise to greatness. We will have to wait and see if they can succeed. But for now, there is hope.

I was too young to remember when Snyder bought the team, but I did feel like the new owners were saying things that they knew what the fans would like to hear from them.. Although I think the big difference is Harris's company bought two sports teams and then turned the teams into successful teams after the company bought them. So I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel (or at least I hope so).

Only time will tell. But just from what we have seen, at least this group gives a damn about the fan base. That's apparent right from the get go. Snyder from day one made it clear he wanted to use the fan base to put more money in his pocket.
