But that is exactly what wackos will do too - find another gun to go shoot up a classroom or supermarket with, or resort to classroom bombs, supermarket pipe bombs, etc. In reality though, these assholes will still get their hands on AR-15s or whatever they want - illegally, because that's what criminals do. Fix what it is that is making these jackoffs want to go out and kill people, establish measures to identify them before they do, make it harder or illegal for kids to buy a gun, have the most severe penalties for any gun-related offense (and actually follow through on them)...
Most everything is on the table for me, but I won't support a ban on a semi-automatic rifle. It's a cop-out, and it's a rabbit hole I'm not willing to start down.

Obviously just banning them isn't the answer, making them harder to get in the first place is the bigger part of it.
Most Americans agree on some common sense gun reform and we can't even get that.
How about we start somewhere vs tossing our hands up at every possible solution.
