I'd definitely argue Wentz is better than Trubisky and Mariota.

And if you went after those guys, you're competing against other teams with no guarantees you can sign one. Then what, you go into the draft with your hands tied having to trade up or pray someone you really like falls to 11? Sounds like a recipe to end up with Heinicke as your starter again.
