It's probably actually a blessing in disguise that Fitzpatrick went down. I never wanted him here in the first place. There were better options out there if you weren't going to draft a QB, or roll with Taylor.

Let's see if they can bounce back on Thursday before drawing too many conclusions about how the season will end up.
They were 7 and 9 last year, not sure when the Chargers became a power house.

Every year average teams become great, and great teams become average or worse.

You can only rely on last season's results so much.

The Chargers are off to a hot start - wouldn't surprise me to see them win 10+ games this year.

Wait, us losing to the Chargers is world ending blow it all up WFT is the worst ever etc.... but the Chargers beating us in week one means they are off to a hot start. If we are so bad how is beating us off to a hot start?

I am not picking on you Mooby just us as a group.

It's funny to me how hard the crash back to reality was - the mood around here was upbeat before yesterday, nobody expected us to blow them out yesterday but the general consensus thought it was a winnable game.

But from the first snap yesterday it seemed like they rolled everywhere except the scoreboard. We got a few lucky breaks and hung around but in the end they pulled away.

I still believe our team is nowhere near good enough to compete with the upper tier teams of the NFL. Doesn't mean it can't happen this season though, it just means it might take a few weeks for this team to start firing on all cylinders.

They have a lot of preseason hype, and lost a lot of one score games last year. New coach has "mastermind" label. Seemed to prove it against us for sure.
