Perfect match to what? The colors, maybe, the city? No So many other opportunities to rep the city better than an animal that is not indigenous. With all the history in that city there are far better options.

Cleveland naming the team the Guardians is a name that was off the radar for them. The Spiders and Blues has been thrown around for the last year and they picked a name off the radar, my hope is that is what happens here.

I don’t really care if it is symbolic of the city. Chicago Bears is pretty iconic no?
I just want it to sound cool, and i want to hear howling everytime we get a first down. I swear if they are the Washington monuments or senators im done. Lol.

What does Redwings have to do with Detroit? Nothing. Iconic though.
