I like hearing that Rivera is pushing the players to change the lazy, slow pace, no sense of urgency attitude that existed under Gruden.

Players were not challenged in his practices. In my opinion, that’s why the team always started off the season slow and they could not get up for the big games. Teams like the Patriots finished practice by running hills. In the fighter pilot world, “You practice as you fight”. Football is the same, which is why I’m happy that Rivera has emphasized a fast tempo in practice, and yelled at the players who were just standing around.
