Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
-Position you're most excited about:
Not position, but pass rush. If we can average over 3 sacks per game then we should be a top 10 defence. Though I agree if the O doesn't click that might not matter. -Position you're most worried about: OL definitely. I have faith in the coaching but aside from Scherff we have no names. We really need a new Hogs group to form. -Position battle you're most intrigued about : RB but big if on Guice and Love. And if Gibson is in the mix a la McCaffrey, it could really take the pressure off the short to mid passing game (I see a lot of screen type plays). That in turn would open up more deep shots. IF it all clicks it could be a big play O. -Sleeper player you think will have a big impact: I want to put Sims into this slot. With Harmon out he has the perfect opportunity to build on last season, especially if Gandy-Golden steps up to draw some coverage. 3 amigos anyone? |

I’m worried about OL and CBs the most. The CB group should have an easier time given our pass rush, but I was hoping for more FA help there after losing Dunbar (which, as it turns out) was a good thing given his legal issues. Getting Fuller back helps, but Darby is not an upgrade and the rest include Moreau (can he start?) and the other youngsters (Johnson and Stroman) who are still unproven. Can we protect the QB enough to have a vertical game and can we keep teams from going deep on us? Unclear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I'd say we're set. Intrigued about depth competition and who's outside/nickel spot. But not worried one bit.

Maybe you’ll be right, but at the moment, we have 1 CB in Fuller who would start on most teams - will be interesting to see if Moreau steps up. When We drafted him out of UCLA I thought he might be a steal. This would be the time for him to show it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Yeah it seems like we are just rolling with what we got and that's scary.. We probably have the weakest TE/WR combo in the league

The team is toying with moving Sims to Z (outside) receiver alongside McLaurin, but then the slot WR might end up being Trey Quinn. Using Sims as a straight downfield threat is exciting though. Gandy-Golden is competing for a starting spot, but his chances are better if Sims stays in the slot. Antonio Gibson will be in the mix too and if Coach Rivera's assessment of his talent is accurate, it's going to be fun to watch. If we had not lost Harmon, we'd be really solid.
