When his foolishness doesn't come to fruition, then it's "just sports." If it does come to fruition, then he'll say he was right.

He's playing both sides of the fence. Just ignore him, and he'll disappear or change his way of posting. He knows he's full of shit and posting for a reaction.

Eventually, the mods will tire of him and send him packing if continues down his current path.
