That would be reason enough for the Rams to want to pull the trigger on McVay. On a serious note, Phillips obviously is one of the premier defensive minds in the league, even as he closes in on his 70th birthday. He's not expected back in Denver with Dolphins DC Vance Joseph looking extremely likely to land the head-coach job. We'd love to see Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald under Phillips' guidance. McVay is interviewing for the Rams' job for a second time Wednesday.

wow...getting screwed both ways. We have to be the dumbest organization not to have hired Wade when we had the chance.

This is a nightmare scenario for me, but we haven't even heard anything about an interview with Wade yet so I don't want to get my hopes up.
