Re: The coordinators
They are interviewing him to be the Head Coach? That is laughable. He can't even remember to run the ball or score in the red zone. He is going to be a Head Coach of the whole team? Good luck with that.

Re: The coordinators
Not including above, I want all of the coaches back next year to make 1 more run at it. I think our defense will be much approved next year and I'd like to see Barry have a fighting chance.

I am not opposed to giving your Gram a shot. At least with her the guys would get cookies or knit scarves or some shit. Barry did nothing for them

Re: The coordinators
What do you think it would take to sign your nieces? I'd support hiring one as DC and one as OC. Also, do you think your Gram would be interested in coming out of retirement to interview for the HC position? I mean, I'm not bitter about Sunday's loss or anything like that but if we can do better...

Re: The coordinators
I'm fine with bringing another DC and I hope the team addresses the big holes on the defense.
I'm more concerned that with all the talent the offense has, we continue to put shit shows like this past Sunday. We have all this talent on offense, and the offense gets shut out in the first half and only manages to put up 10 points on the biggest game of the year? Ridiculous.

Re: The coordinators
Against top defenses yeah, an offense is going to shit the bed on occasion.

Re: The coordinators
But the game to get in the playoffs against division rival? That's unacceptable imo

The coordinators

Kirk was clearly off even when he had time. Gruden could not speak apparently at the half to call a timeout and save enough time to gain ten more yards and get points. We cannot run block against anybody or ever score in the redzone. Giants might have a solid D, but we didn't help ourselves at all. |

The coordinators
It is funny. I know the defense was the culprit, but when you look at the talent on both sides who did a better job?
With all of our wr weapons and KC and the best LT in football how much credit does McVay deserve for moving the ball through the air between the 20's with ease? Our RZ issues, clock management, and disappearing act in crucial spots really speaks volumes about the coaching on that side of the ball. Our D that really at the end of the day has two players plus Mason who is certainly not Ray Lewis. Cravens was hurt and being moved around. Never really settled in. So we are talking about a couple of guys who would definitely start anywhere they went. Yet they kept points off the board, and played above their heads a lot. Anyway I would not mind both of them being replaced though a loss of continuity would be damaging. |

Re: The coordinators
In fact most of the time I'll take a top D over a top O. Look at how the Panthers got handled in the SB last year.

Overall this season I was okay with the effort by the guys on defense. At times the lack of effort by the offense wasn't acceptable. That was evident in the run game. I'm not sure what part of it falls on the coordinators. Sometimes you also need a guy in the locker room that brings the better out of his teammates. Not sure we have that in the offense. As weak as he looked sometimes, Compton might be that guy for the defense.
