Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
RG3 is a bitch, a me-and-I mother fcker. When he fails and falls no one will be there to catch him. I will be pissed if Mike Shanahan doesn't start playing Kirk Cousins, if for nothing else then to showcase him to potential trade partners.

Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
I am curious, for those who don't think RG3 is the franchise QB, do we spend the next few years waiting and hoping for the next franchise QB to come along in the draft or do people honestly think Cousins has the skill set to be a franchise QB? Personally I think Cousins is an Alex Smith or Matt Flynn game manager type QB. That generally doesn't get you to the promised land and I would rather spend time finding out if RG3 truly has what it takes than to spend time on someone who doesn't.

There are four kinds of people I loath... liars, hypocrites, egotists, and downright dummies.

And also, he's not paying attention to what's going on around him. You gotta remember what down it is, bro. Gonna have to start doing the baseball system where they hand gesture to each other how many outs they currently have so players don't make boneheaded plays.

Re: Do You Unequivocally Believe RG3 Is Our Franchise QB?
It doesn't matter -- the mistake was RGIII's and his alone. If he thought it was 4th down and it was 3rd down and thus forced it, that's on him. If he just forced it even appreciating it was 3rd down, that is also on him. He says he was worried about taking a sack -- fair point, but then throw the ball away and make sure you get to 4th down. If it was a bad attempt at throwing it away, again, on him.
Having said all of this, RGIII was strong in the 4th quarter leading the team to two TDs and almost a third. That came after a pretty rotten 3 quarters beforehand. It is what we have seen this season -- some great stuff and some poor decisions and execution. But I think this is a reflection of coming back from injury, lack of talent around him, some bad coaching and playcalling, and -- yes -- some shaky play from RGIII too. |

From what we've seen from Cousins, the ball does come out quicker and the coaches seemed to trust him more with a pro style offense. But he's struggled some too, although he was put in some tough situations |

And 'showcasing' Cousins at this point would do nothing except lower his perceived value. |
