Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

I'm saying 'A'.

We LOADED up our secondary! The players we took could all be starters for us and they were drafted with great value for where they were taken, especially Rambo. All three of them are getting me excited. We could lead the NFL in INTs and Forced Fumbles this year!

Aside from that, if Fred Davis is healthy we could have a New Engliand-like 1-2 punch at tight end. We're fine at WR for the short-term so adding a big weapon at TE and much-needed depth at RB was smart.

Throw in another LB and that's an awesome draft we just had.

We kept talking about "we need a tackle!" all offseason. Think about this fact though, we had the #1 running attack in the NFL and RGIII's biggest hits all came outside of the pocket...so they also protected him well when he stayed at home. If healthy, Pashos is a solid lineman. Trueblood is decent for depth, wouldn't want him as a starter. Also, in the 2012 draft, we took a lot of promising linemen who we haven't seen much of yet in Leribeus, Compton and Gettis. They may step up this year. Our line is solid at 4/5 positions and I think right tackle talent will be sufficient even though not outstanding.

The two RBs taken are Darren Sproles-sized, so perhaps Shanahan has an idea for this already-dangerous offense? Morris' power and a small elusive back who can catch on the field together?

Bruce and Mike, geniuses again. All of our secondary picks were guys who graded MUCH higher than where they were picked and Reed was graded as the 3rd-best TE in the draft, and we grabbed in in Round 3. Well done again. We have not seen a bad draft from this regime yet.
