I'm not writing Manning off, but the thing that made Brett Favre so special was he rarely (if ever) underwent the knife. Even though his body was falling apart, it seemed to have the ability to heal itself and be ready by gameday.

Isn't the proper expression "went under" the knife? Underwent?.................lol
