This thread could be posed in this question: 'Does anyone foresee a situation similar to last year's draft when we opted not to draft a d-lineman, even when it was apparent to all we needed one?' Gibbs & GW said they were happy w/the progress Golston & Montgomery made, maybe that's the case w/Mix?

That could be the approach here. Last year they didn't draft a d-lineman in part because they liked Landry better than anyone else. They didn't sign one in fa, cause no one was available w/in reason. That could be the case this year if Hackett can't be signed, or no trades can come to fruition.

I think Vinny is thinking long-term. If the right player at right price can't be had this year, next year Roy Williams will be a free agent. Next year might be the time they look to sign a vet.

I HOPE Mix has made that much of an impression, but I think it's still too early to have much indication as to what they want to do at the reciever position. The first news we might get on this is if Caldwell's agent talks to someone.
