This is something I grew up with in NJ , they are called Joe's , we called them sloppy Joe's put not like you think, No ground beef and they are not hot.
 They can have any type of meat but most come with ham. Three slices thin rye , in house made thousand Island dressing ,in house made coleslaw, meat , swiss cheese and butter
