Re: Official 2012 Nationals and Orioles Are In The ****ING MLB Postseason Thread!!!!!
This I'll never get... the team had like 4 pitchers in rotation at the biginning (or so it seemed), Stras was 1st and always performed well, the #2 was not bad, #3 was or seemed 50/50 in games, and #4 sucked. The team rode Stras the whole season and a month before play offs shut him down. I get it. I understood it. But.... wouldn't you reactivate your bread-n-butter for the play offs? WTF?
Secondly, I was listening to the final game on the radio, I don't know what happened or if the announcer "Fed" up but I got to hear the 6th, and 7th innings. At the top of the 8th inning the announcer says "the score is 8-7 Cards" then says "oh my mistake for looking at the board, the score is 7-7). The Cards had their at bat and scored 2 runs. Then the Nats had at bat and struck out all 3 times. Then the announcer says the Cards are swarming the field gathering together at the pitchers mound. I was wondering WTF are they doing we still have one more inning? Then the announcer says the Cards have beaten the Nats. I was so pissed last night. The Nats for not playing Stras, the Nats for losing after a 6-0 start and then letting the Cards slowly come back, the announcer for screwing something up, the fact that ALMOST moving on seems to be the common theme in DC, and did I mention the fact they didn't play Stras on the last game considering the team needed the win and it was a move on or go home situation. So today I've been .... slowly getting over it and am proud of the Nats for what they accomplished this year. Hopefully they can build off of it and do even better next year. |
