It's like meeting a new girlfriend/boyfriend.. the rose colored glasses are always on at first, and then later the truth comes out. He's been good so far, normal I'd say. Nothing I wouldn't expect has happened, but nothing I'm going to call home about either. We have a great group of players out there that should be making it rather easy for him in my opinion. You want me to give someone a 5? I give it to our Skins... the players. When things start getting tough during the season is when we'll see if this coach shines or not. I hate giving too much credit to a coah for something I'm not so sure he deserve yet.

fair enough. to me though, things just seem different from these past couple seasons. i know it's only been one game but the team just seemed more together or there was less confusion out there. i'm sorry, i'm not doing a good job explaining it, things just seem different.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™

I didn't read all of the posts, but will take time to scroll back through tomorrow. I was completely going to suggest a weekly approval poll... as it would be much more interesting and less emotional without Joe Gibbs as the head coach

I gave him a 4, but if it were a 10 point scale I would have given him a 6. I have above average confidence in him, but not at an 80% point yet... more like 60-65...

I think the job that coaches do during the offseason is just as important as the regular season, maybe more so in regard to certain areas. As a rookie head coach he's had to install his offense and convey his principles and beliefs to the players, and in the process hopefully get them to buy in to what he's selling. I think you're really underestimating what he's done so far. To say that what he's done so far isn't all that hard tells me you either don't really understand what he's done to date, or you just want to slam him for some reason.

Good grief. I'm not slamming him. It's some silly rating game we are playing and I gave my reason for rating him, and I explained why I rated him 1.5. Maybe you are right and I don't understand the off season the way you very wise football gurus do, but it is just an opinion, and one I'm allowed to have without be accused of slamming people... for God's sake.

I guess there's always gotta be someone to throw off the curve.

I wasn't accusing you of anything. Lighten up.

Then quit it with the "slamming" language every time I speak my mind about a player or coach. It’s getting really old.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™

Well, as I said a 1.5 seems like a slam or ignorance to me. Just my opinion.

It's nothing personal.

Giving him a 5 after one pre-season game seems a little over the top, and is ignorant to me. Nothing personal.

I'd rather be wrong on occasion, then have to exhaust myself proving that I'm always right...

LOL... pot calling the kettle black?

Anyway, back on topic if we can. Since there are no 1/2 ratings did you round up to 2 for this poll?
