Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
Quinn had success w/ Kyle. Why not Clint Kubiak? Why not go right back to that offense that you should have won a SB with? That to me makes way more sense. Way more.

![]() More importantly does he know what a gatorade stir spoon looks like? Personally I think this should be a joint responsibility for the new OC and DC. I am a firm believer you take care of the small stuff you don't have to worry about the big stuff. If we get the side line gatorade guy a spoon then Forbes will be able to play man cover and Sam will progress through reads faster. It all starts with the small stuff. On a personal aside this moment, Leno and Norwell blocking each other and Zorn running the swinging gate play twice are moment s I like to go watch for a chuckle.

I too would like a young up-and-comer playcaller, but if he is successful we'd have to deal with potentially watching him leave in a few years and replacing him. That's one of those good problems to have though.

That's a damn good problem to have. I'd like to have those problems.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
There is a reason why EB wasn't called for HC Interviews... Also why didn't LV or ATL hire him as an OC? Hmmm

I believe JP tweeted this speculation right after the news broke. There were also a lot of rumblings on or about the week of the conference championship game that Johnson was not a sure deal.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
I voted to wait and see the coordinators Quinn hires. That is very important to the success of any HC. Does anyone know if there will be a committee involved in these decisions?

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
What will Peters and Harris' role be in hiring the coordinators does that fall exclusively under the purview of Quinn?

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
If Harris, after hiring Peters and Quinn, has a strong role in hiring coordinators, that would be a red flag.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
It’s possible the best move Peters has made so far is not pushing all the chips in on Ben Johnson. The admiring profile of Johnson that someone posted a week or two ago, if you read it carefully, was really all about the success of Campbell-Johnson, not Johnson alone.

If Ben Johnson doesn’t want to be a HC, that’s perfectly fine. But just communicate that up front.
