re: Better kickers available?
I remember Hall plenty. He never had the leg, but the accuracy was there. He was an excellent kicker under 39 yards....
He was injured 4 times in 2004 season, once in 2005, and in 2006 was placed on injured reserve. He was a Joe Gibbs favorite, but injuries severely ended his career. 40-45 yards were iffy at best...45+ forget it. They were smart in getting rid of Hall. Whats sad is that Suisham was deemed his replacement. He is more like Hall 2.0

He had plenty of leg before the injuries. But yeah, the injuries robbed him of distance.

re: Better kickers available?
Oh believe me I do, I had him on my fantasy league at the time. What this team needs is someone like Vinatieri or Gostkowski.

re: Better kickers available?
According to Madden 2010 there are several better options out there.

Vet min? Or, maybe a 7th rounder if they're under contract? Maybe we could get Brees and the Saints kicker if we throw in a 5th rounder. I think they'd bite.

re: Better kickers available?
I'll tell you who i signed in madden to replace Suisham with.
Rhys Lloyd....i got him soley for the reason his kick power was 97 vs Suisham's 81 or whatever it was....and by the end of his 1st season his power was 98, and accuracy was 95..... But lloyd is in Carolina right now IIRC....

![]() I do feel bad for Suisham, but again, while he's 18-21 this year, his 3 misses were costly.

![]() I'll agree to disagree with it being pointless. If one of the areas the Skins were to heavily evaluate during this coming offseason is kicker, why not start now when the season isn't on the line? Hell, Suisham got the job in the first place replacing someone (Novak, who's name oddly enough has been thrown around in this thread) late in the season. I'm not going to lose any sleep if they don't boot Suisham, but at the same time, why hold onto someone who continually is 1 kick away (or 4 games at this point) from losing his job?

Sorry guys, there was no fix, the Skins lost, plain and simple. For someone to have the fix on, they would have had to expect the Skins to be in the game, and most profi's weren't expecting that at all. If the Saints had shaved points, maybe, but the Skins had that game in their grasp, and as they have done before, they lost it. Was there poor officiating, yeah, maybe, but the Skins get that kick and the Saints lose. Pretty simple. |
