For those of you burnt out on the QB rumors....

Most burning need after QB?

OT
WR
Safety
CB
?

How about this guy?

Re: And in the 2nd round, the Redskins select.....

Well, it kinda depends on what we do with our first rounder... Also, if we make an all-in play for a Bradford or Luck, we may not have a second rounder to use... :cheeky-sm

If our first round pick ends up being used for a QB in some fashion, then I'd say go best safety or corner on the board. Maybe a Janoris Jenkins (if he falls out of round 1) or Markelle Martin.

If we go WR, DB, or OL in round one, I'd think we'd have to take the best QB available in round 2.

If I knew more about the Landry situation I'd say yea....go with safety in the second round.
But I've always been a "Hogs First" kinda guy so I'd like to do right for the OL.

If we go OL in the second I'd go safety in the third.
Then go WR and CB with our fourth rounders.
DeAngelo Hall is another guy I wonder about.

To answer the question of the thread, I'll go with:
Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina

Besides a QB we also need an OT, WR, CB, S, and ILB

Vinny's overall Redskins record: 62-82 (.430)
We won more with Vinny

Every so called expert says this guy has bust written all over him. Poor work ethic, overweight, can't run.

That's fair enough. If I knew when I wrote that what I now know about him, I would not have written that.

If Alshon falls to the 2nd round definitely him no question. I have RGIII in round one so my 2nd round favorites are:

Dwight Jones
Alfonzo Denard
Janoris Jenkins (Doubt he falls to round 2)
Mohamed Sanu
Kendall Wright
Reuben Randle
Markelle Martin
Joe Adams
LaMichael James (Wouldn't be upset)
Chris Rainey (Rather have him in 3rd)

Unless he hits a homerun so far out of the park we can't see the ball at the scouting combine, I'd be stunned if Rainey got picked in the 2nd round, or even the 3rd really.

As would I. Just threw his name out there. 4th seems right for him. But I'll say it again if Alshon falls to the 2nd round we better snatch him up. That is some serious value, Kendall Wright too.

The combine is gonna be really important for Alshon Jeffery. As in, how fast and crisp is he? Is he a fatty? Not sure about that guy.

I actually think this WR draft is fairly deep. I might prefer to grab C ben jones, OT mike adams, OT zebrie sanders, CB j jenkins, CB c hayward, or S m martin. Then try and grab another WR in the next couple of rounds then a gifted but possibly lazy player like jeffrey. D jones, j criner, t streeter, s hill, j adams, and even G robinson should be available from the 3rd on down.

If Kendall Wright falls to the second we should grab him for sure.

He's rated the #2 WR in a lot of spots.
That would be a heck of a gift if we got him.
I wonder about Baylor guys though.....
