Week 2 Post-Game Thread
The only good thing about this game is we played on Thursday so it can't ruin our weekends.
We looked like a pathetic group of fat, slow, disgusting, bums out there. Got completely embarrassed out there on the field and the sidelines. There isn't one spot where they didn't rawdawg our asses. That game sucked all the cocks in hell. Team photo: ![]()

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
Actually, putting aside the lackluster play, the injuries are really concerning. Wise is out for the season and it looks like Ekler will be too. Wise had done a very good job of setting the edge and the Packers ran well in his absence. Ekler is a dual threat we will miss, but I’ll guess we see what we have in CRod now.
We also had Bates and Coleman out too - hopefully both are back in 10 days. Losing Bates really hurt - tons of pressure on JD5 and the run blocking was not nearly as good. And they didn’t have him to slide over to help Conley who obviously struggled. Injuries really hurt us yesterday. Not sure we win the game without them, but we had little chance with 4 starters going down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
I was really looking forward to seeing Wise all year. Sucks for Ekeler, could very well be a career ender.

Well, add daniels to this list of injuries/possible injuries. MRI on knee today. Per paulsen and no one else, though, so maybe this is misinformation

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
Hopefully, the 2:1 ratio of pass plays to run plays is in the rear view mirror. Yeah, the score dictated that somewhat, but Kliff started out pass-heavy and it was no bueno... put the defense in a tough position and subjected JD to more than his share of pressures/hits.

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
thursday night games are trash especially for the away team
they need to go its like watching drag racing in the rain this would been a great matchup not sayiong we win if both teams had enough time to prepare and rest for it just dumb

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
Only got chance to watch the game in full today (overnight Thursday UK and too busy yesterday). I'd say we were bad, but not awful. Aside from the O not coping with the pass rush (and I agree more runs would have eased pressure), my biggest take away was the poor tackling and coverage. Had Love been more accurate, there are probably 3 TD's left on the field as they got behind us deep 3 times that he missed. JD was off a bit, probably because he had little time, but his receivers didn't help with drops and bad positioning on a few plays (Brown particularly disappointed me).
But, while we were bad on O and D, we weren't awful. GB are well set up (will contend for NFC championship), playing at home on a short week while we were travelling, and frankly especially with Scary not having camp time, we look off the pace offensively. I hoped for a closer game, but I'm not overly disappointed. But we must improve. None of our next few opponents are scary, but some are tough. We need 3-5 wins to get right. If we lose 3-5, then I start worrying. |

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
This is why I really felt like keeping BRob until the end of the year was important. You really could not count on Ekeler making through an entire year. Now you have 3 unproven guys back there.

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
bill is better than brob (for us, imo). Brob just wasn't a great fit for running out of shotgun.

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
It does beg the question who we replace Ekeler with (roster spot at least)? And Wise too. I'd expect some roster moves at least by tomorrow.

They also had Ekeler in on short yardage. I just didn't understand that. He was getting most of the workload. You can't expect him to be that guy at this point in his career. |

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
Clowney is not ideal player to replace Wise as both are different types of players. If we lost Miller instead then yes Clowney would be a decent replacement.
I was curious about Wise as I believe he was underrated when he was with Patriots. This sucks. |

Re: Week 2 Post-Game Thread
Best thing about this is that our Thursday game is out of the way. I don't see any nfc east team (incl the iggles) beating GB so the loss only may affect our conference ranking. Otherwise the rest - injuries, bad play, etc -can be fixed in time.
