Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
Well when you think Redskins in the 1980s, you've got to think of Coleman (holding the helmet up high), but I've seen few players on the Redskins as exciting as Wilber Marshall. Marshall gets my vote.

Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
This one's tough. Monte Coleman was a great LB and very underated in my opinion. One of my all-time favorite players. Wilbur Marshall was great. One of the best. And my first jersey, Arrington, had some great years. I was going to say Marshall, but I keep remembering Monte making great plays time and time again. Monte Coleman gets my vote.

Damn for me it is between Marshall and Harvey. I think I am going to have to go with Marshall though.

Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
I vote for Ken Harvey.
I'm to young to remember hansburger... I loved Monte and he had an amazing career but he was not the game changer Marshall and Harvey were. I gave Harvey the edge because he played on the shittiest teams ever! He never played in a playoff game his whole career which is sad. With that said, He still was a beast despite teams game planning against him. Marshall was a beast too but he was on great teams his whole career. It's easier to make plays when teams aren't game planning against you. |

Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
If at all possible I would like to cast a -1 vote for Lavar. That's one negative vote for LaVar.

Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
I'm going with Marshall. He was the complete package at LB, and he was one bad MF.

Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
Marshall was a one man show in 91 & 92, and before that he was pretty good for us & a pro bowler w/the bears. Total package as Matty said.
Hanburger would be a close 2nd. I love M. Coleman but he was a solid LB, not a game changer. He's one of those guys that in today's game would likely play for 3 to 5 teams in his career. Lavar & Harvey aren't much in the discussion IMO, though Lavar has a nicer highlight reel. |

Re: Best Ever Series: OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
I'm just asking but are you talking about the best Redskin OLBer as a career or who was the best at the position and played for the Skins.Point San Huff was a great MLB but he was n't great when he played for the Skins, my opinion Neil Oakawitz(sp)was the best Skins MLB,Wilbur Marshal had his best years with the Bears not the Skins,to me Ken Harvey .....Chris Hanburger(my vote) were two of the best.
