The Super Bowl Commercials Thread
Often more exciting than the game itself. Here's one that I already know will be in my top 3

Re: The Super Bowl Commercials Thread
since i came home at around 6 last night from colorado to find my plants unwatered and our cats w/o food i thought the doritos commercial was pretty funny. i sent my sister a text saying she should have sprinkled doritos on everything before we got home, she didn't think it was funny

As a long time activist on behalf of Tibetans I can say that the fish curry ad was a disgusting exploitation of a suffering people. It was made worse by the fact that fish curry is not an authentic Tibetan dish.

The Force one was great. I laughed at the Audi/Kenny G one. But I honestly think we're coming down the backside of the mountain, with a few years ago being the Apex of SB Commercials.

I enjoyed the Doritos commercial with the pug who flattened the guy teasing him with a chip with the door. The finger-licker was disturbing though. Of course, the Vader kid was one of our favorites too.

Re: The Super Bowl Commercials Thread
Honestly I can see why someone might feel upset over that Tibet commercial. My first reaction was hmmm that was kinda wrong.
They were obviously trying to spark some controversy... mission accomplished Smushed baby, fish curry? Super Bowl ads spark controversy for HomeAway and Groupon - USATODAY.com |

They made very light of a pretty rough situation the Tibetan people have dealt with for a very long time. My little brother is a buddhist so maybe I'm a little more sensitive than most, but they could have made their commercial a million other ways.

Re: The Super Bowl Commercials Thread
I think it was in poor taste. Just didn't feel like the right way to go about mentioning their product.
Nevertheless, they achieved their goal because people are talking about it.
