Is this the dog from the song? "Feed Jake, he's been a good dog, my best friend right throught it all". I've seen more than one otherwise stoic redneck get a little misty when that one comes on WMZQ. Shudder.

12 yrs old isn't a bad life for a dog that size. I had to put my Rotty Roxy down when she was 12 yrs old for the same reason.
It still sucks though.
