Re: Washington 2024 Predictions

i think that playing together will help with the communication issues as this was their first game doing so . . . another reason they all should have played more int he preseason . . . to learn to play together. Practice can only help so much.

If I'm going to suck, and this team is going to do just that, I want my entire team to be rookies, 1st 2nd and 3rd year guys. There is no need for a bottom tier team to have guys like Ertz and Wagner.

I'm already on the phone if I'm Peters, I'm trying to trade #17, #94 and #93. Let those guys get on good teams and see if they can have a chance to win while we rebuild.
It's not time to do that yet. They have more to contribute to bringing along the young "keepers" here. Besides that, to get more in trade, any trade of one of the above players should happen when a contender is desperate for help at one of their positions.

I'm hoping that Peters is on the phone trying to move those guys when the trade deadline approaches. Allen is almost 30. McLaurin is 29. You do right by them as they've done right by you. In other words, give those guys a shot on a winning team.

Look, I was never a fan of that Payne contract, but it is what it is. That said, we need some veterans on this team. We can't use all new draft picks to replace everybody. Already too many holes to fill. By the time we get around to replacing those guys, we'll have the draft capital to draft their slot and move on.

Yeah, it really wouldn't help us out long term at this stage anyways. Fans are going to panic though, it's in their nature.

Re: Washington 2024 Predictions

Is it true that we haven't had a 100 yard rusher in the last 22 games? WTH?

If so, that streak ends this week!

Hard to do, when your former OC who was a running back actually hated handing off the rock.

I actually said this before the season started around draft time. I'd go Jimmy Johnson 80's Cowboys. He sure didn't keep many vets around and this was before the cap. If I'm going to be bad, I can't be bad w/ guys approaching 30 w/ huge contracts. We've been bad w/ these guys now for years, so what is the point of keeping them as they age? Trade them while they still have value.

The vets I'd keep on my roster are Crowder types, cheap none starters that can contribute on teams.
