Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

with this team, its always 2 or 3 years away. Here we are, 3 years after Shanahan, and we, again, are two years away, because what? Because we have a flippin stud of a quarterback that happens to be a rookie,so that gives them a pass for the next two years to lean on for being absolutely putrid on defense, and absolutely mediocre in every other aspect of the game that does not include RG3's brilliance? I'm just sick and tired of the excuses. The Lions went 0-16, 2-14, then two years later, they are in the playoffs. 49ers go 5-11, then the next year they are 13-3, and the next they are considered to be the best team in the league.

Point is, teams turn it around in a much shorter span than we do. Dolphins go 1-15. Next year they are 11-5 and win the division over the patriots. Saints go 3-13, next year they are 11-5 and win their division. Bengals go 4-12, and then win the division the next year over the AFC championship team Ravens with an 11-5 record. Falcons go from 4-12 to 11-5 in one season. When is it going to be that we just field a team that goes out, and plays the other team, and WINS? Its a football game. Every other team has mediocre talent, but the coaches overcome that, do their job, and find ways to compete. But with us, we always have to temper our expectations. Our situation is always SO much worse than any other of the 32 squads, that we need to chill out and remember, its gonna take 4 years to undo the damage. Its borderline ridiculous, and the fans of the Redskins deserve way better leadership than what has been presented the last 20 years.

Oh well, I guess there is always next year. Oh wait, next year and the year after that is a rebuilding year. I guess there is always 4 years from now. I'll have my fingers crossed.

PS - sorry for the rant
