According to a quote by CSN Washington’s Ryan O’Halloran, the Washington Redskins wouldn’t get more than a “used kicking tee” for quarterback Donovan McNabb, and as a result, will release him before the season begins. O’Halloran is obviously joking but he is implying that it wouldn’t even be worth it for the Redskins to try to trade McNabb, whose value dropped significantly following a disappointing 2010 season. McNabb, 34, is due $12.5 million next season. He was signed to a contract extension before a November game against the Philadelphia Eagles but the contract also includes a loophole in which the Redskins can get out of paying him anything. And they will. McNabb may be a starter next season (although I don’t expect it) but it won’t be for the Redskins.
