I think DG learned that people were taking items he signed and were selling them on E-Bay or somewhere and he got all upset. See DG comes from an era when players gave up their rights to their names on merchandise so the only extra money the players got came from commercial deals and signing autographs. Here he is signing autographs and not getting paid for it and the public goes out and sells the signature on e-bay. He got all upset if I recall correctly and refused to sign anything after.

I don't know him personally, never met him face to face, but I really don't recall any of the other players bad mouthing him either.

I think it's rare that you'll ever find a pro cornerback who doesn't have super-confident borderline-cocky personality. It's almost a requirement for the position given that even good" ones can give up a backbreaker once in a while.
