Changing the
collective whole is going to take more than just buddying up with the "no need to fix" guys on the team. Even if Willie were competent at the tast, he would have had to have a LOT of time on his hands to go beyond a small circle of players.
What Parker(and Tryon, and Edwin Williams, and maybe others) experienced when he landed in Redskins-land is that the values and tacit assumptions that have been fostered here is that football is a tier below "fun time" and "getting attention". Yes, SOME guys like Fletch and PD show up and just do their work, but others DO NOT FOLLOW their lead because it hasn't been drilled into them by the folks at the top. AH is one of them, but I would also suspect that guys like CP, Rogers, also showed some lack of commitment compared to the "minimum standard" follow in places elsewhere in the league.
