All the Bengals need to do is give Jordan #9 and start him. The fans will not see a decline in performance from the QB spot and most of them won't even notice Carson is gone.

Bonus - the stadium shop won't have to discount the #9 Palmer jerseys and toss them on the clearance rack, keep charging full price.
