I kind of bawk at the idea of drafting a QB (even though it's a glaring need and we basically have to) simply because the chance of getting a good, franchise QB in the draft is so low. Maybe it's just because I don't know 2011 draft class yet, I don't follow college much. But I'm still deathly afraid of us drafting a bust or someone we're just gonna end up shipping out a few years down the road.

I hear you. I basically feel the same way. As a fan, watching the team get burned with QB draft selections so much in the past, I'd rather not even bother with it. Just give me a year like we had with Brad Johnson in '99 -- a moderately priced free agent who steps right in a meshes perfectly with the offense to carry us to the playoffs.
Just build up the damn lines.
