Re: Larry, Sonny, and Sam- the radio trio must go

I listened to the game on the radio today for the first time in a few years and was floored -- floored-- at the lack of football insight, professionalism, and down right incompetence of that crew. I swear I could walk down any supermarket aisle and grab three random guys wearing football jerseys who would put these dudes to shame.

The Winslow example was one of many. At one point Sam, I believe, called Ryan Torrain a little guy and Sonny tried to correct him and he said, well, he's the same size as Clinton Portis. From there the conversation (while the game is going on, mind you) devolved into comparing John ****ing Riggins to Ryan Torrain. I was like, are these cats playing poker and smoking cigars or calling an NFL football game? Oh, and then D.Hall horse collared the runner and the refs missed it. Sam was like, awe, let him play football. They argued about the horse collar rule. Then like clock work, Sam brought some old ass story from the days of Sammy Baugh or something. I wasn't sure if this was an episode of Family Guy or real live radio. If it weren't so funny, it would be sad.

But something actually dawned upon me as I painfully endured the sitcom, this team is strangely cursed by it's historic and successful past. We're constantly trying to relive and re-engineer the Gibbs era. I don't know man. The old Skins alumn are just too visible at times and presents a unique challenge to creating a winning culture in today's NFL.
