They are hoping this could one day led to possibly a cure or to reverse the effects of Alzheimer in humans and of course reverse the aging process in general.
I know that wasn't exactly what this thread is about, but it got me thinking about that with this discovery. Imagine what this discovery and the one I was talking about could mean for people in the future!

Yeah I read about that. Could be a big step towards solving the cancer puzzle too.
Crazy to think where modern medicine could be in the next 50 years.
