yeah...if he played this year...which he CANT because he is freaking ineligible.
If he sat out a year...he'd probably drop significantly...like a 5th rounder.
I am just not thrilled with using a 3rd rounder on a guy that missed out on all the rookie camp crap....yeah we got him a year early...but that guy better get off his butt and prove why we gave up a roster spot for a benchwarmer.
I want to see this guy kill it on special teams...DAY ONE.
There aint much complicated about running like a bat outta hell to crunch someone with a 40 yard head of steam.
I want this guy to earn his keep and PROVE he is worth a 3rd!
I will have to SEE it to BELIEVE it!

Maybe. We'll never know because if we hadn't taken him now, someone else would have.
Mike Williams from USC missed a collegiate year and still went high in the first round. Sure, he was a bust, but he is a counterpoint to the idea that if you sit out, your draft stock drops.
Besides, if Jarmon had not been drafted supplementally, he would have had months and months to prep for the Combine. Even if he had waited until 2010 to be drafted, he still may have gone high.
But you are correct in your last comment. EVERY draft pick has to prove his worth on the field. Let's hope that all of our rooks do so.
