That being said, it was WAY overdue & I'm surprised that this didn't happen last year, but maybe the FO knew more about what they were doing then we originally thought. If Heyer got injured after we had released Jansen last year with little to no depth, that would have really hurt. I'm glad that we were graced with his presence on our OL for the past decade & I wish him all the blessings & fortune he is deserving of.
This does bode well for us, in the long run. Younger & hopefully more agile & talented OL means more protection for Campbell & better blocking for Portis. This, of course, means that Samuels better stay on his toes...and off his heels. |

That was the same time we had just acquired Dana Stubblefield, and we also had Big Daddy Dan on the D-line. And GUS was wrecking the bus......or at least his head into the goal post!
