How did Boss play better? Cooley's blocking was actually better last year than it's been his entire career. I don't get what you think you know on that one.
And you bring up fumbles... Well, Cooley had 50 more catches than Boss last year. So in 83 catches Cooley had 3 fumbles. That means 97% of the time he touched the ball in '08 he didn't fumble. What a horrible thing.
Boss isn't even close to the offensive weapon Chris Cooley is, and his numbers reflect as much. To use a stat in Boss' favor that directly involves touching the football is just silly. Cooley is his daddy. Wake up.
And as far as D-line goes, why do we have to exclude Haynesworth when talking about the Skins? He's a proven stud and he's on our team now. I'm sure Canty crossed your mind when thinking about the Giants D-line. This thread isn't asking us to rank last year's production. You can find those stats on NFL.com.
