This year is absolutely his year to show confidence in routes and getting the ball into the tighter spots. I don't think he can't do this, but he does need to step up and show it.
Given all that, calling for Collins - a perennial backup, or Brennan, a 2nd year 3rd stringer, is just change for change sake, not because of any real tangible improvement.

Bottom line is JC is our best chance to win this year. Collins and Brennan are a step backwards. If JC is unable to step up this year, all things considered, We will probably (most likely) go another direction at qb.
