exactly what made this defense so good was that no one was being a 'star' (except Sean Taylor). everyone played their roles to the plan and thats why no offense knew what was coming. everyone had a chance to get a sack in, Williams mixing everything up putting no obvious emphasis on anybody. everyone marvels at Pierce and it's because he plays smart and sound without making ANY splashy plays.

any criticism of Sean Taylor this year is exactly because he tried TOO hard to stand out, and is most likely why Williams kept Bowen and Lott in front of him until they got injured.

if anything, having LaVar out this year deprived Williams of a defensive DECOY along with a handful more sure-fire sacks.

Lemar has been adequate, I want to see Clemon's get a real shot that guy has some serious speed and look's very aggresive, he's probably right now a little green instinct wise but let's see if he progresses, you can teach a player to play LB, you can't teach speed and he has it.
