True, but they've been one good WR away from winning it all, and while multiple playoff appearances are nice, they never took a risk and went after a #1 receiver to get them over the edge. Besides, if you don't call what we did last year (and what we can potentially do this year) building through the draft, I don't know what is.

they rarely overpay (Kearse is an example but he was a monster when they signed him, injuries took their toll)

I think they overpaid for A. Samuels too, especially since they had Lito Shepard and Sheldon Brown in the DB. Once again, they could've gone after that #1 receiver.

and they release anyone who begins to decline (especially if the player commands a big contract ie. Dawkins). They would always prefer to let a guy go a year early instead of having them one year too long.

I think Dawkins is the only player that may fit in this category. Someone mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago that the Redskins hold on to players and don't let them go. Well the Eagles have held on McNabb for too long. He's a good player but he's also a diva and a bit of a prick. Every year many I wonder why the Eagles don't get good value out of him. Let's not forget that save for last year, McNabb has been a bit injury ridden.
Now can we give the compliment-orgy of other NFC East teams' FO for a bit? I know our FO is not the best, but don't rub it in, ok?
