This is kinda like Larry Centers all over again. My guess is that Zorn (and/or maybe Blache) pushed for this (I think it's also in Hall's and Haynesworth's new contracts), and Cerrato was probably lukewarm about it. But I'm a bit surprised VC is surprised Taylor turned it down.

But, as I've said before, I have a hard time believing it was only about this workout clause. There had to be more to it.

I think its pretty clear that we didnt want Taylor in 2009 and he didnt want to be here. This arrangement allows both sides to save face - The skins get to look like they wanted Taylor here with his teammates and Taylor gets to take the high road with wanting to be with his family. The skins have a legitimate excuse to cut Taylor, and Taylor doesnt have to suffer the disgrace of being cut for his performance.
