I don't think this is a smear campaign (I also don't think there was one against Williams, people just thought there'd be one but this thread ain't about that).

I think this is simple ignorance (or arrogance) on Cerrato's part. Actually, I think he and Zorn/Blache had different ideas on Taylor and his future with the Redskins (one side thought he shouldn't have one, or at the very least he should work for it), Snyder overruled VC and now Vinny has to scramble to stay in lockstep with the organization's stance.
