And then you have these comments by Cerrato, that make you say "WTF??" He's basically saying he's expecting to be able to make JT do what Parcells couldn't.
This is kinda like Larry Centers all over again. My guess is that Zorn (and/or maybe Blache) pushed for this (I think it's also in Hall's and Haynesworth's new contracts), and Cerrato was probably lukewarm about it. But I'm a bit surprised VC is surprised Taylor turned it down.
But, as I've said before, I have a hard time believing it was only about this workout clause. There had to be more to it.

I agree. From JT's standpoint, he's most likely saying, hey look we had a deal last year, why are we trying to change the contract? What's changed since then? I'm sure these things were talked about last year. Well, who knows actually.
From the VC standpoint...what d hell? You are suprised? Why did you cost us 2 draft picks last year for a 1 year guy? Wasteful if you ask me.
VC basically sais JT is not working out. I highly doubt this is true. You can spend time at home and work out. It's almost like another smear campaign...allegedly. VC would never do something like that (cough...gregg williams...cough...spags...etc).
