Good job to use him one season and go 11-5 then turn around and trade him for a high 2nd round pick (3rd pick in the 2nd round).
PLus pats will immediately clear $18.95 million from their 2009 cap space. THey will look to add more talent.
The Chiefs get two starters for one 2nd round pick. Cassell is schooled in the Pats offense and will help the new Chiefs coaching staff install the new system.
The Chiefs improved greatly at a very important position QB, that they were terrible at the last few years. TE Gonzalez is already there. They could draft WR Crabtree and they will have a good offense.

How does Cassell being schooled in the Pats offense help the Cheifs and Todd Haley install their offense?
You mentioned Tony Gonzalez- I think this will go a long way with helping him remain with the team. He said he wants to play for a contender and basically he would request a trade if they didn't make some major changes. I think this counts as major.
