Your probably correct but I always figured that at each level ie; little league, high school, college, and the pro's there was always something new to learn. Little league and high school you are only learning the basics so the college talent scouts can see you. You might have been a TE in high school but a LB in college. It all depends on how your body fill out. Yes college gives you some mechanics but a lot of colleges do not run a pro style offense which means you would have to come to the pros and learn the speed of the offense, fine tune your technique or learn a new technique, and learn how the NFL coach's want you to run your routes. I'm sure Hixon had some sort of input as to which WR's to pick up. I can't imagine the evaluaters picking guys and Cerrato going after them and telling Hixon "here we brought a few more in for you...good luck." with out any input.
I'll agree the ones we brought in were not 1st round draft choices but out of 20 WR's that came in and were let go he could not find a one? I would think his track record would get better each time he had to pick due to lessons learned.
