Pittsburgh was not a great team when Roethlisberger was inserted into the starting line-up. Maddox made the team look average at best. Ben helped them win games and led them to a championship.
Besides, the Skins are not a "medicre" team. The D is a really good one. Tell me which game did the D get blown out other than the NE game (which we all know can't be stopped). The offense is not helping out. Whether it is the play-calling, WRs or lack their of, or simply the coaching staff not seeing enough in JC in practice to take a chance during the game is a whole another issue.
