Re: Redskins have the worst defensive line in the league
I'm not sure if our line is the worst in the league, but it's near the bottom. Honestly ask yourself, "How often does our d-line get pressure from the front four alone?" I think Carter, Golston, and Griffin have the potential to be very good players, but potential does not always produce results. There is not one player on the line who is very good on a consistent basis. Golston could be a keeper, but he showed me very little last season to get crazy about. Griffin is great when he is on the field, but he rarely hits the field. Carter was great in the last quarter of the season, but was a big disappointment in the first 10+ games. Daniels hasn't had a great day since Week 16 of the 2005 season.
That being said, I think the depth at DB and LB bodes very well for our defense. Every team has holes, ours just happen to be up front and, who knows, maybe Griffin will stay healthy, Carter will maintain his high level of production, and Golston will emerge as a quality player.
