This is a huge reason why it is doubtful that the Terry extension gets done. Steelers basically overpaid for Metcalf. Terry believes, as do many, that he is the superior wr and wants to be compensated as such. Not going to happen with his age. Firmly believe Peters will work with Terry some on the numbers but not to his total demands.

look at the structure of the deal, the last two years are fake. 23m + 5m roster bonus and 30.5m with 5m roster bonus (no guarantees) - that's 63.5m he's never going to see. in 3 years his cash earnings from that deal will be 86.5m. I'm not going to count garbage. If that's the game, let's give terry 200m non-guaranteed on year 4 and he can average 50m/year while making $0.
