Cred I disagree with you on this being on dems. Shame on the republicans, you could have nominated anybody in the primaries and you chose to elect Trump again (I for my part voted for Haley and encouraged anyone who would listen. I even sent her $). This is as much on them as it is on democrats.
In the end this will be a continued erosion of our democracy and a loss of our civil liberties. We will get more of what we got from 2016, a decrease in workers rights, more Americans without healthcare, and increased wealth concentration at the top (this would have happened with Harris too as she as much a corporate stooge as Trump is).
Mooby you are 100% right how can you lose 15 million votes from when Biden was running. Unacceptable. We also need to figure out why Americans are okay with losing the rights in favor of a more authoritarian president (John Adams one of the biggest turds in our history would be proud).

This election was never going to be at 2020 levels. That was a special case where the pandemic caused many states to increase mail in voting.
At the moment Trump is about 6 million more than 2016 but about 6 million less than 2020. Kamala at the moment is 18 million less than 2020 and about 2 million less than 2016. The #1 reason Trump won was the economy and voters felt she was part of the problem. Trump did better on the margins , getting more votes than 20. Trump also got more black and Hispanic votes. Enough for him to win.
Joe never should have ran again and he will just be remembered as the guy between Trump’s 2 terms.
