Judith Love Cohen was one hell of a woman. At 19, she was studying engineering in college and dancing ballet at the Metropolitan Opera Ballet company in New York. She helped create the Abort-Guidance system that rescued the Apollo 13 astronauts. She also created several things that are standard today like the posting of job openings inside a company for people to apply, and formal job descriptions for every position, amongst others. She finished her engineering career running the systems engineering for the ground facility of the Hubble space telescope. Oh yeah, and on the day she went in labor with her 4th kid in 1969, she went into work, made a computer printout of a math problem she was working on, took it to the hospital and completed it, then gave birth to Jack Black. Talk about making the most of her life.
